"WHAT LEAGUE IS APPROPRIATE FOR MY CHILD???"

This is STAGE 1 of the Developmental Hockey League Program at All Seasons Ice Rinks. In this league, your child will get the opportunity to utilize the skills learned during the Developmental Skills program and apply them in a game situation.  Coach Cheli and his staff will divide the skaters up into equally skilled teams that will play each other every week.  We will be using the ADM program that is very popular with USA Hockey.  The league is formatted so that each team will have 9 players and will play 3 on 3 format with 2 minute shifts using a cross-ice setting.  Each team has a coach and all games will be supervised by Coach Cheli or his staff.  Each student will receive equal ice time, encouragement by coaches and staff, develop confidence, and be part of a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.  This is a great opportunity to get your child into game mode before our famous Mighty Mite Developmental Hockey League begins.
* Scooters are Ages 4 - 8 with 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008 Birth Years, divided into 2 divisions, U6 and U8.
* Prerequisites to play in the Scooter Hockey League is successful completion of Tot Hockey & PreMite Intermediate.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SCOOTERS

• Playing on a smaller ice surface results in increased puck possession time for each player, producing more chances for scoring opportunities
• Individual technical skills develop more quickly
• More frequent line changes in the game means more ice time for each player.  Line changes are made quickly since the players are directly beside the playing surfaces
• Each player's activity increase greatly
• Developing hockey sense & quicker decision making skills
• 20 - 25 minute games per season
• Develop passion for the game of hockey and have lots of fun!

This is STAGE 2 in the All Seasons Developmental Hockey League Program.  This league is designed to give kids the opportunity to play in a team setting.  Just like the Scooter Developmental League, these kids will take all the skills that were taught to them throughout the year and utilize these skills in a game situation following the USA Hockey ADM model.  They will be introduced to the rules of the game along with positional play.  The format of this league will consist of similar skill levels.  Listed below is the breakdown.

U6 Birth Years - 2007, 2008, 2009. Prerequisites: PreMite Hockey  Intermediate, Advanced or Elite
U8 Birth Years - 2005 & 2006. Prerequisites of PreHockey Phase 1 and above.

GAMES WILL BE EVERY SUNDAY EXCEPT ON Certain HOLIDAYS. ON HOLIDAYS, WE WILL HAVE GAMES DURING THE WEEK

*AGES - 4 TO 8 (Birth Years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) who have successfully completed Premite Intermediate and Premite Advanced Hockey Development Program.

For proper skill development, it is highly recommended to participate in Developmental Hockey Classes while participating in the Mighty Mites Hockey League.

The Mega Mites Hockey League was developed to give Sabre Silver Mite or Gold Mite players the opportunity to play the game of hockey in a fun and enjoyable environment during the spring time. Our practices and skill sessions will focus on skill development and will be utilizing the ADM SKILLS PROGRAM. Each player will sign up individually and will be drafted into 4 to 6 equally skilled teams and separated into two divisions. (U6 & u8) If you have any questions, please contact Coach Chelios.

This Developmental In-House Hockey League was established to give older players the opportunity to play the game of hockey in a fun and enjoyable environment.  The CIHL Program is affordable and gives every child the chance to play hockey in a less competitive & fun atmosphere.

This league is structured to give everyone equal playing time and allow each player to develop at their own pace.  Players will be divided equally after evaluations by Coach Cheli and his staff and will be placed on teams.  During league play your child will be taught game rules, team play, sportsmanship, positional play and much more.  Parents are encouraged to get involved by volunteering to be a team manager or as a coach.  This is a great way to get involved with your child's acivities and also learn how to coach the game of hockey.

Silver Mites - U6: 2007 & 2008 Birth Years / U8: 2005 & 2006 Birth Years: Monday or Tuesday PM* This Level is for those skaters that are participating in an Intermediate, Advanced or Elite Level of PreMite Hockey classes or the PreHockey classes in the Developmental Hockey Programs.

Gold Mites - 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 Birth Years: Monday or Tuesday PM*  This level is for those skaters who have participated in the Mega Mites program this Spring and will be trying out at this level in the fall for the Sabres
